Thanks Bill,
Adding snap to profile.ijs did get rid of the popup error messages I was
getting. I updated to gui/gtk 1.0.8.

The gui loads without error now but doesn't have any background color or syntax
highlighting. On Linux that seems to be working fine.

When I open a script in the Editor the following GTK errors now appear in the
jconsole window:

(jconsole.exe:4728): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_text_buffer_move_mark: assertion
`GTK_IS_TEXT_MARK (mark)' failed

(jconsole.exe:4728): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_text_view_scroll_to_mark: assertion
`GTK_IS_TEXT_MARK (mark)' failed

I tried loading the tut8.ijs demo, but it hung my J session - no error messages.
