I am reading what you are writing and I do understand that J.exe will not be developed further.
I am basically talking about how the conversion and marketing of it in the future be handled. I think there will be a lot of documents produced in the future how to move applications from J.exe to JHS and/or GTK. How it is done is probably more a matter of taste. Your current approach has its merits and may well be the best/right way to go. I have envisioned it a bit differently and have pictured all three ides living under the same name for a foreseeable future. Maybe it is better to just leave it as it is and for me personally it is a non-issue. I am more thinking about how to handle all the transitional documentation and tools needed for people who want to move their applications. If there are no problems for general users of having J.exe only as J6 I agree with your approach.
