I'd just like to confirm that I experience the same problem with my DS207 and SC7 (29.10.2007) on SSODS 3.0 Beta3. I tested also SSODS 3.0 Beta2 as well as the daily builds of SC7 during of the past few days.
The facts are that the scanning message disappears after a few seconds with a 0 result and no scanning log. Browsing through the directory structure works fine and quick and all albums displayed are going to be part of the collection instead. Using the same library (volume1/MusicLibrary/Library) with slimserver 7 on a Windows XP works faultlessly. The same is true for SV 6.5.5 on both SSODS 3.0 Beta2 and Beta3. Please let me know if you need any more technical infos.
