I think you may have event viewer and the log mixed up. From MS documentation: "To open Event Viewer, click Start, click Control Panel, click Performance and Maintenance, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Event Viewer". View the details and copy and paste anything that happened while installing/starting. The Squeezecenter log should be a text file in the directory Michael pointed out.
