Cheers. I tried the program but there is too much to learn so gave up. Things have got worse. Even though I thought I'd cracked it I've still got duplicate albums showing up, one with mapped path and one with UNC path.... even with the paths to my music and playlists set as UNC paths in SC7.
I think I've now tried all combinations of UNC/mapped drive settings for my SC7 paths, shortcuts paths and playlist paths... and even though my tests indicated that all would be OK if I used UNC paths in SC7 all is not OK. SC7 is running on my laptop which can connect to my network (and the drives containing my music) wirelessly or wired. I am now beginning to wonder if the way the laptop is connected has any bearing on how SC7 sees the paths.... even though my network settings for both seem to be identical.
