After filing the bus I installed the latest nightly (via Windows executable) which contained a fix for the (possibly related) bug discussed here: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40850
After installation I decided to try running it as a service rather than an application (as I had previously) so entered my administrator account details (into the handy SC7 "Start Up Options" thingy) to allow the service access to my networked music drives. SC7 then totally ignored the account details I'd entered and still ran itself under the local system account, so it couldn't see my mapped drives and access my music. I then manually set both the services to run under my administrator account and restarted them. SC7 still could not see any mapped drives in the Music Folder Browse window. I set it back to running it as an application and then mapped drives appeared and all was well. As this UNC/mapped Drive/Service/Application stuff seems to be in a state of flux I'm not certain to register this as another bug or an addition to an existing bug... or what.
