Since I last posted this has got stranger. I now have playlists that contain both mapped drive paths and UNC paths (as I made some playlists vis Slimnserver yeserday and they contain mapped paths). If I use my laptop wirelessly (at all) and then then reconnect it wired to my network for scanning I'll get duplicate albums. However, if I reboot both my music server and the laptop after connecting wired I'll not get any duplicate albums.

I have just tried opening the SC7 Browse window when I already have the Music and Playlists paths set using UNC.. and the results are not good. In the browse window I can see all my mapped drives, in order, neat and tidy.. but I can also see the particular drive the paths point to listed in UNC format about 40 times! Due to the first point I've made in this post the results have always been variable. Michael Herger;247463 Wrote: > > > > Another addendum. This is certain to cause ongoing tech help problems. Is it possible for me to run SC7 as a service on XP when I have ro run it under an account with network privileges? I can't seem to find any way to stop running it as an application and run it as service instead.
