Hi Max,

Not entirely on-topic this, but...

I run two Solaris machines at home for storage, entirely because of ZFS.

Solaris makes a point of being backwards-compatible with previous 
versions going back for several years, so the out-of-the-box experience 
can be a little spartan when compared to what a newer O/S like linux can 
provide. However, most of the things you know and love are all there, 
you just have to either turn them on or change the path to find them.

For example, I change shell to bash, and add things like /usr/sfw/bin, 
/usr/local/bin/ /usr/xpg4/bin to the path.

I must admit, I've not tried getting SC to run on Solaris yet. Perhaps 
I'll have a go and let you know how I get on.
