Oh yes, you just try patching the thing in order to try and maintain
some semblance of a secure system!  Then realise that they've forgotten
to provide a packaging system that actually works.  Hours of downtime,
no proper dependency tracking, broken packages from Sun.  It's just
ridiculous.  And that's if you don't want to run things like a recent
Apache, MySQL etc etc.  If you do, then welcome (back) to compile
land.

And ZFS doesn't even work on the root filesystem.  Ho ho ho.

And don't even get me started on Blastwave...

Honestly, Debian/Ubuntu is the way forward.  Solaris realise this -
it's why they've employed Ian Murdoch.  About five years too late, but
never mind.
