To answer a question above - the IR remote only accesses the first 10 favorites at the root level. To access favorites in sub folders it is assumed that the web or jive interface is used.
So there are really two ways of using this, one simple flat way for the old remote or the new hierachical way if you use jive/web. As with all UI things there are multiple ways of doing things and people will disagree..
