If you are only using Tag & Rename, then it doesn't show the ARTISTSORT tag which will override your ARTIST tag (which Tag & Rename does show). Try downloading something like Foobar or mp3tag and looking at the offending files in that to see what the ARTISTSORT tag is, correct it and then do a full clear and rescan.
