Until recently, I hadn't realised that I was storing id3 tags in FLAC files through Mp3Tag. It's much better to ensure FLAC tags are stored, as the standard is much better. In mp3tag, I select all songs, clear tags, and then undo. This removes id3 tags from the file and writes FLAC tags back (I have mp3tag configured to remove all tags for "Ape, Mpc, etc", and only write APEv2).
