I was not clear in my description given the subject of thread (Merging... tabs)... I meant a new Plugin page/tab that is itself the Extension Installer. Having to click the "Settings" (which are not really settings)in the Extension Installer to view/open the Extension Settings Page just to find out that there are no updates bothers me bit. The Extension Installer should not even be a plugin... it should be a basic "native" function of SC that can be enabled/disabled. The notification as well as the intervals when the server checks for updated plugins should be "optional" so that users that want this function automated do not have to check for updates manually.
