We now have the Netgear DG834PN in house here in Mountain View.
Unfortunately I so far see no obvious DNS issues with this router in the
short time I have had it. I do plan on spending more time with it,
however not having DSL access here in the office may make it difficult
to reproduce.

Bob, I would like you to try a few things with your router and Receiver
61 if you would be so kind.

The first would be to to manually configure the router to give out your
ISP's DNS instead of leaving it at the default of automatic and see if
you are able to connect to SqueezeNetwork directly. To do this log into
the DG834PN and navigate to the 'Router Status' page and note the DNS
that your IPS is providing the router. Now navigate to 'Basic Settings'
and change DNS from 'Get Automatically From ISP' to 'Use These DNS
Severs' and enter the DNS address from the 'Router Status' page and then
hit the 'Apply' button. Once the router is updated try factory reseting
both Controller and Receiver and walk through setup again and see if you
can successfully connect to SqueezeNetwork directly.

If this works great, we may have isolated the issue to a combination of
automatic DNS of this router and Reciever, if not try changing the DNS
value provided by your ISP to OpenDNS instead which is 208.67.222.222
and 208.67.220.220 and walk through setup again.

If it works now great, it may be a compatibility issue with your ISP
and Receiver, if not I'm not really sure at this point but hopefully it
will work with one of the above methods.

Netgear also has a DNS troubleshooting page and also suggests trying
the above to get around DNS issues. What I suggest above is outlined as
Resolution #2 on the following page
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23

I look forward to your results.
