My MTU value in router is also set up to 1472 which was the value
suggested/implemented by my ISP when we were having speed and
connectivity problems a few years ago.  Have re-upgraded to firmware 61
and about to change my DNS settings from automatic to the suggested
server in Router Status and will also report back if this sorts the
problem.
