Yes and the result is that when the product is released in a beta or
official release it's to late to change anything. With the Logitech
approach the beta testers can suggest improvements that could be
included in the release currently under beta testing instead of waiting
for a future release.

Everyone can choose if they like to run:
- An official stable tested release (7.3.3)
- A beta testing release only containing critical bug corrections
(7.3.4 beta)
- A alpha/beta testing release containing new functionality (7.4)

I suppose Logitech could rename the last one to "alpha" but I've a hard
time seeing how a name change would make a big improvement.

Would it be better if there just was 7.3.3 and nothing else available
at the moment ?
With the current approach you at least have the possibility to make a
choice either run the stable official 7.3.3 release or try out the new
stuff with the risk of breaking some functionality.

Regarding problems with internet radio, you will have to remmeber that
7.3.3 might have worked when it was release but due to changes by the
internet radio provider it might have stopped working at a later time.
There is no easy way for Logitech to handle that besides focusing on
including a correction in 7.3.4 or 7.4.
