What would make most sense would be settings to re arrange the order of things in all menu's . But especially Home menu.
This would hurt nothing and everybody will be happy with it . The new users see the default experience and experienced users get what they want (when they find the settings ) as everybody have different preferences all the time . This would not even be a support problems as the new users with problems usually haven't found any advanced settings yet. I for instance thinks it is bordering on the insane to have "choose players" between my apps and applet gallery ,if you move it to home menu as it is hidden in settings normally ? Here I think that choose player menu would auto magically move to home menu if you have more than one player (controller would be a player if audio is enabled ). On the topic now playing has a hard button yes but for a new user or anyone else, is it really that clear what that symbol is ? that button toggles it function it is home or nowplaying or off/on . I kinda like it as it is in this regard as my thumd find it easier to press the center button than home button.
