Late to the conversation, I wanted to add a few cents... I have been severely missing the + button on the controller doing just that! I can't stand the new popup window, it seems so slow and in the way. I do not like the middle button triggering a play, it seems backwards. I have a play button specifically for that.
Don't reinvent this wheel, please. For the long time duet users, this seems like an unneccessary change. I hate touch to play. On the touch interface as well, I just keep accidentally playing songs when I don't mean to. What's more annoying is the UI will slow down sometimes and register my drag ( to scroll) as a Play now! Why can't we have buttons like the attached picture, for the touch screen? No matter what decision logitech makes regarding the touch screen- ultimately having touch to play without a dedicated play-zone button will cause endless frustration. The fact is, this software can get skippy/choppy. Sometimes my press-and-hold gets registered as a short touch, sometimes my scrolling gets registered as a touch.
