I think it's important to stick with the beta to make sure it gets out of beta some time soon. However, if you don't want the instability, I totally understand. I'm a bit sceptical myself, especially considering the WAF.
Coincidentally, it shouldn't be the volume up, but rather the add button (with the plus sign on it) to do a hard/factory reset.
