This could be linked to another minor issue I have with Apple Lossless files. It doesn't seem to make any difference in normal playback, but I have noticed that some of my Apple Lossless files are shown as type "Quicktime Movie" and others are shown as "MP4" in the Song Info details in SS. All are shown as Apple Lossless in iTunes and have m4a extensions. It seems that older files ripped with older versions of iTunes are shown as Quicktime Movie whereas newer files ripped with Max are MP4.
I have no idea why SS makes this distinction, but there must be something...
