I agree with most of your email but especially this part. I found it
increasingly hard to take part in the Touch beta testing and
increasingly gained the impression that the whole thing was just a sop,
that no-one was listening and that a small coterie of managers (or maybe
just one strong personality), unfamiliar with the devices and maybe ui
design in general were driving development, possibly via some small
*heavily guided* focus groups.
For me the state of the ui across all the devices is tiring and I am
increasingly attracted to the clear, intelligently planned and simple
interface of my friends Sonos system   (not that this is an entirely a:
satisfacorty ui)
