you have to understand the context of what i was saying...

the 3 major apps and 2 biggest tag services all assign AA tags to
everything.  so thats the de facto standard of the marketplace.  the
vast majority out there will have AA tags, and that makes the VA logic
worthless.

now, if you only care about SBS, then you would only use AA tags when
you want something (a CD, album) with an artist mismatch to NOT be
called a comp by SBS, and grouped elsewhere.  

for instance, billy joels box set disc 3 has one track with him and ray
charles on it.  therefore you put AA tags of "Billy Joel" of every track
on tht CD so it ends up in the right spot.

but again, most people have AA tags.
