Exactly. I frequently use clear/rescan, because I don't want old music
to appear as new music, just because I corrected some tags.
For the same reason, automated nightly scans on my  NAS are also
clear/rescan, and because the SB's my alarm clock, it matters the scan's
over when I have to wake up.
I don't know any machine that would be able to cache my 400GB FLAC
collection, anyway.
