FYI In 7.6 the Cover cache is actually now SQLite based, instead of filebased, which gives better performance. Especially when scanning. My understanding is that SQLite is used for cover cache no matter if you are using SQLite or mysql for the main database.
Where do you not see the covers? web interface? controller? phone application? FYI My cover art count also went down a bit back when I went for 7.5embedded, but all the covers were there. I thought that maybe the cause were related to the tool that I had used to retrieve missing covers made 2 files: cover.jpg and "albumtitle".jpg At the moment I am on 7.6 (SQLite) and covers works in controller and webinterface. However SlimControl does not; Locuth is looking into this. It has to do with the new cache handling and that SlimCotrol use CLI (?). I am currently on 7.6.0-r30558 from Tuesday.
