Here, here.

The only thing I can think of to add is this:  for those of us who's
enjoyment of classical music is centered more on the work in question
rather than the performance, the addition of a secondary genre
classification would be a real boon.  Thus, we'd be able to browse:

Classical Era (genre) -> Beethoven, L (composer) -> Chamber Music (sub
genre) -> Albums

..or, say...

French Modernism (genre) -> Koechlin, C (composer) -> Choral Works (sub
genre) -> Albums
