It's not on Windows. Because we're not talking about downgrading. Jim  
suggested you install in a different folder. It's as easy as defining a  
different folder in the installer. It's not like on Linux where a perl  
installation is being used by system tools etc.

As you've figured out yourself these are irrelevant for Windows.
