Basically, would you accept installation a third party applet and
through that install a patch which solves the problem ?
I'm just asking because that's the only way I can see this will be
solved during the time frame of 7.6 and LMS, in case you haven't
figured it out already Logitech have other issues which they feel are
more important.

I'm just not sure what you expect to see, if you aren't using UPnP it's
just going to look like 7.6 but doesn't work as good as 7.6.
But feel free to try it, based on everything you have written so far in
this thread I have a hard time seeing that you will see anything
positive with LMS. In fact, I'm quite sure you will find it to be a
disappointment if you think it will work better than 7.6.
If you are interested in support for videos and pictures through UPnP
the situation is completely different, but I haven't heard anything
that indicates that so far.
