It's not the same use case: the file type exclusion allows to eg.
ignore GIFs, because I only want photos.
Disabling media scanner for certain folders (or completely) would
ignore that folder. I plan to add one more setting:

Unchecking all the images/videos columns shouldn't even trigger a media
scan any more.
