The obvious advantage is that 7.6+ releases are going to be maintained
while I strongly suspect 7.5.5 was the last 7.5.x release we will ever
see. It will take a few 7.6.x and 7.7.x bug fix releases until all
scanner bugs introduced by the changed scanner and SQLite database
backend has been sorted out and the same is also true for all browsing
bugs introduced by the "onebrowser" effort.
Generally, the usability has been decreased a bit in 7.6 in some places
to make it possible(cheaper) for Logitech to continue maintaining the
code.
