I agree with that; although in this specific case I believe it was intentional. 
 It was at least knowingly written to not implement the way it used to work.

The problem is that everyone has a different opinion of what works well and 
what doesn't.  It's never going to be possible to get it such that 100% of 
users are happy.

It's crying out for a preference to select whether a link is a contributor link 
or an artist link, but the developers don't like settings.

This is one of the things that I think is better, because at least it is 
consistent everywhere, across all types of user interfaces.

I think it's safe to assume that there will be more change to come when major 
change in 7.7 is released with yet another change in the name of the software.  
There will be more useless functionality/addins, an more functionality dropped 
or not supported to make way for it.

7.5.6 is pretty good.  I've been running both side by side, but always go back 
to 7.5.6 for day-to-day use.
