So for example if you take the album Starmus: Sonic Universe by Brian May / Tangerine Dream. Both Brian May and Tangerine Dream are considered primary artists that created the album as a collaborative effort. There are a number of ways you could tag this depending on your preferences:
albumartist="Brian May / Tangerine Dream" artist="Brian May;Tangerine Dream" or albumartist="Brian May / Tangerine Dream;Brian May;Tangerine Dream" artist="Brian May;Tangerine Dream;Brian May / Tangerine Dream" or any combination of the above. LMS doesn't care how you do it - multiple entries in albumartist will mean you can find the album under each of the albumartist entries. Multiple artist entries in each track means you'll find the album and track by browsing the artists involved. For regular albums with only a single artist appearing I set: artist=Brian May, compilation=0, albumartist=Brian May For regular albums with some guest artists appearing on one or more tracks I set: artist=Brian May;Tangerine Dream, compilation=0, albumartist=Brian May For compilations I set: compilation=1 and leave albumartist blank SqueezeWand | 'Vivere DAC MKI' (http://vivereaudio.com/post/2013/08/16/DAC-I-is-Born!.aspx) | 'ATC SCA2' (http://www.atcloudspeakers.co.uk/hi-fi/electronics/source-pre-amplifiers/sca2/) | 'ATC SCM100ASLT' (http://www.atcloudspeakers.co.uk/hi-fi/loudspeakers/tower-series/scm100aslt/) *'Linux finally gets a great audio tagger' (http://www.ubuntugeek.com/linux-finally-gets-a-great-audio-tagger.html): 'puddletag' (http://puddletag.sourceforge.net/)* - now packaged in most Linux distributions. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ audiomuze's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33613 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101248 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
