Checked the log console and found nothing under "install", "logit",
"media", BUT found one entry under "squeeze" which would correspond to
the time I just saw the "do you want to install..." notice.  Hope this
means something to you:

"8/26/15 9:37:29.942 AM System Preferences[38698]: Squeezebox: Got
mediadirs '(
"/Users/Dad/Music"
)', 1"

Under Security/Apps download, I changed my setting from Mac app and
identified developers to "anywhere".  We'll see what that does next time
around.  I'll let you know.
