But you have to ask yourself what that effort will buy you. <rant>Yes,
cuesheet is a MacGyvered up text format made up to support CD burning in
the 1990s. But quite frankly, my impression is that the rest of the
metadata formats look like someone rolled them with a very basic
intuitive sense of requirements (i.e., music is divided up into cuts
performed by groups of musicians, distributed on albums), and then
started grafting on other metadata as missed requirements were
discovered (music has composers and arrangers, groups sometimes have
conductors and soloists, multiple cuts may comprise a single piece,
etc.).</rant> If I'm going to put in the effort, I'd like to end up at
one well-conceived endpoint, and I don't know where that is.
