Did you notice that the gapless issue stephenkca referred to was "a decade ago"? It used to be an issue with early mp3 players and encoders. Not an issue with flac and even reasonably modern players (unless they have totally broken "soft mix" features"). "To try to judge the real from the false will always be hard.
