Hi, Trackball vs Turntable: I've always preferred turntable over trackball, and was responsible for the changeover in 2.60. IMO, 99% of trackballs out there are completely unusable as they are far too sensitive to vertical mouse movement, making it far too easy to accidentally tilt the view in unexpected/nausea-inducing ways. Perhaps trackballs may have a bit more freedom for getting into some tricky corners of models, but only if we could temper these tendencies for most cases. For reference, the p3d trackball comes closer to being sane than Blender's, though even then, it's still a bit on the sensitive side in places.

Which are the good ones? I got rid of the armature ones yesterday. So, only the ones in the modifiers are actually relevant. > > Please don't: > - Rotate around selection (that's crossed out anyway). Maybe it would be good to have "change rotation pivot when > selecting if selection is in center", it would be much more intuitive > but I'd have to try it to be sure. IIRC, Rotate around selection doesn't work that well, but auto depth tends to work quite well. > > Other thoughts: > - I would agree on the view clip to <0.100 if it wouldn't mangle > editmode wireframe. > - I always set autosave to 1 minute and disable manipulator, but I > don't care what are the defaults for this. > > My proposals: > I always change console autocompletion to TAB. > Text editor should have ctrl+D for comment, as it has ctrl+shift+D for > uncomment. Obviously this comes from someone who doesn't use a text editor that supports Ctrl-D for duplicate ;) _______________________________________________ Bf-committers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers
