My advice is not to throw to much at them, maybe play 2-3 games of a shorter one. Definately pick something your wife likes. I assume you will enjoy or fake it better than your wife will, nothing kills potential players faster than the group not having a good time playing.
My brother won't come over any more unless I promise to play something he's already played. 2-3 new games every time I see him and he feels like he can never win because he's always learning something new. I like to play new games and don't mind not being able to get better at a particular game.
