My daughter and I played Can’t Stop for the first time last night and
came across some situations that the rules didn’t clarify. I’d
appreciate any Can’t Stop regulars giving us some pointers. Here are
the situations we aren’t clear on:

If on the first roll of your turn you roll a combination of numbers
that lets you create 2 numbers the same (e.g., 4,5,4,5 = two 9’s), do
you:

- place one neutral marker on the 9 and none anywhere else; or
- place both on the 9 column, one above the other; or
- place one on the 9 column but on the second space up?

For that matter, what if it’s later in your turn, you have no neutral
markers left to place, you have a neutral marker on the 9 column and
you roll 4,5,4,5. Do you move the neutral marker up two places or
one?

If on the first roll of your turn you get a combination that allows
you to avoid placing a neutral marker, can you do it? For example,
the 7 column has been claimed. I roll 3, 4, 6, 2. Can I call it a 7
and an 8 and just place one neutral marker, leaving me with two for my
next roll?

Thanks for any guidance,

Andy
