Non-Responsive trade has and probably will always be an issue.
 
I'd recommended checking the monthly flea market geeklist (people list 
items they are looking to trade, some times selling too, and everyone is 
excellent about responding)
 
I'd post the link but BGG is still down.  You should be able to find the 
one for August pretty easily though. If not, send me a GM :)
