Hi I'm a new user of BibDesk and am trying to use Z39.50 search groups. I can search via PubMed fine & get immediate results but searching any of the Z39.50 servers gives no results -- the indicator spins but eventually it says "0 publications in [whatever] search group" -- I've tried all the ones included with BibDesk as well as the OCLC WorldCat search linked from the BibDesk wiki and they all give no results. (I am on an academic network at Union College & can access WorldCat via the web).
I have tried opening the firewall ports on my local machine that correspond to the ports listed in the server descriptions, and turned off privoxy, but still no luck. Looking at console.log there are messages like the following: 2007-05-22 17:55:39.095 BibDesk[627] Error: Timeout (10007) All of my other network access is working fine. Any help would be appreciated.
