The option for importing raw BibTeX has just been described by Christiaan. Viewing it in a BibDesk window - whichever one that would be - seems of little use as BibDesk will not hide any fields from you. Just wondering: Why would someone use bibdesk in the first place if he really wants to see raw bibtex? The option to quickly geting access to raw BibTeX of the source file without invoking a text editor is to right-click on an item in the main window and choose "copy BibTex Record". You then have the raw bibtex in your clipboard and can paste it to any other location (this is pretty obvious but I thought I should mention it anyways).
