I guess this is the same ol' problem I'd like to see as solved.
As I learned, there is no source code for the extensible metadata  
platform (XMP), in order to tag pdfs with metadata and to avoid  
copying and pasting information once you have a pdf in your library.
Hope to hear something new sooner or later.
