I'd
like to see it extended beyond Dempsey. After all, pretty
soon there will be 10,000 more people out here, and the groveling masses who are
living here now are biking at least a mile on treacherous roads to get to a
path. I can't wait til we are competing with all those extra sport
utility vehicles from the three new "villages" being placed east of the
Interstate.
Oh,
stop it! I mean, really, since these new villages are all part of the
urban renewal movement (including a megabox grocery store), I doubt
any of them will own cars, let alone SUVs,
and every commute will be a teeming mass of cyclists. It'll be like
Chariots of Fire! Every sunrise they'll be cresting the hill, pumping like
mad, pedaling to their job, claiming a lane as their own, sounding the golden
trumpets of urban renewal and a return to sane living! Bring it on!
