Not hip enough to know who Abe Simpson is (related to Homer?), but, yes, of the eight different schools I attended K through 12 in six different cities and three different countries, I mostly was driven in schools #2 and 7. Second half of kindergarten and first half of 1st grade, got car-pooled a couple of miles to near my apartment (St. Louis) and 11th grade got picked up by a van and driven the five or so miles to school (Tehran). Walked or bike to school the rest of the time.
