But no "Path Detour" signs?  Nobody would ever consider closing a street
like Mineral Point Rd. without posting a detour, but when did it become OK
to close a major bike path without posting a detour?  

For those who are not necessarily familiar with the neighborhood, and if the
streets are not laid out in a checkerboard fashion (like many are not on the
west side of Madison), a great deal of frustration could be avoided by
putting up detour signs.
