Apparently, the letter went out to BFW membership via email...which is only
available for about 900 of the 2,800 BFW members.

All I am saying is that...whether or not the BFW board provides any answers
to anyone's questions...they are the only ones who know what is going on (if
any of THEM even know)...and are therefore the only ones it makes sense to ask.

I never received a letter in the mail from the BFW (and I haven't moved for
over 10 years). I wonder what mailing list they're using? Suggesting that
we contact the board for info is kinda funny. I'm not saying that they
shouldn't be asked for info. I'm just saying that they're not very
forthcoming with info. Unless you count the whole, "We're going in a new
direction...Oh, no...Not really" info the put out. Plus, it doesn't solve
the problem of general membership (beyond this list serve) being kept in the
dark about what's going on. Pam From: Dar Ward I was under the
impression that all of the BFW members got a letter about the change
(though...some members I know, like my parents, got it, and some, like my
partner, did not...so I don't know if it went to the entire membership or
not). The letter, of course, had no real substance, but it did mention that
the BFW board was looking for a new ED and planned to have statewide "town
hall
meetings" to discuss issues. As far as I know, the board is currently
focusing on hiring a new ED...and the "town hall meetings" have not yet begun
to be planned. If any members have questions...they should continue to
contact the board of directors and ask for answers. The names and emails of
the board are available at http://www.bfw.org/about/board.php BFW staff
are all still working very hard to keep the organization running and to
address issues that will make Wisconsin a better place to bicycle. Please do
continue to support staff as you ask for answers from the powers that be.
