I worry however flawed the bikies list is, it's a thriving community that might not survive the transition to a new medium. I know with yahoo and so on it's possible to make the web forum also act as an email listserv, so that might be good enough, but if each new thread needed a new subscription to get it as email, that would be bad. Best would be if the change were transparent to current users, and those who wished could go to the web version and use it as they chose.
Are there already Wisconsin bicycle web forums? I see this from a quick google: http://www.wisconsinbiking.com/forums.cfm . How are they faring?
