Can I suggest that instead of spending millions of dollars to deal with the rush "hour" (actually more like a rush "ten minutes"), that the DOT install stop lights at any of the intersections people are having trouble crossing during peak periods. These lights could then go to blinking yellow for the 23.5 hours a day when there are no problems with traffic. BTW, what are your plans for dealing with all these unneeded highway expansions when gas goes up to $10 or $15 per gallon? Why is it so hard for the DOT to understand that you can't build your way out of congestion?
