Are there any thoughts on the effectiveness of hosting an advocacy ride or
several rides sometime this spring?
I was thinking that it might be a good idea to host a ride early on to give
"fair weather" cyclists some safety advice, maintenance tips, & brief primer on
the laws prior to a short jaunt around town or something. The trick would be to
get folks to show up but might be easier if multiple groups endorsed the event
& also contributed. I suppose it could always be planned around Bike to Work
Week or something but could be it's own event.
Has anything like this been done & if so, was it effective?
