I like DJ's suggested language changes. As a member of the PBMVC, I think this
would be a great idea & I'd definitely participate in something like that. I'd
like to see something on the lines of a "critical mass" but not vigilant &
actually something that would educate both cyclists, pedestrians, & motorists.
What would be awesome would be to get all participants to wear something to
signify our message & show solidarity amongst the riders. Since shirts would be
difficult to coordinate, maybe encourage everyone to wear something similar...

Matt and Aaron;
Those are good ideas. One idea I had is to find and
map locations in town (er, city) that cyclists can
ride too that not only cater to cyclists but at least
have amenities for cyclists like restaurants, coffee
shops, and other touristy places for locals. They
don't have to be out of town excursions like those
hosted by Bombay Bicycle Club. Although there's
nothing wrong with that either.
BTW, as I heard once at a Platinum Bike committee once
that hizzoner dislikes the term "urban escape route."
How about "Rural Access Route" or "Inter-urban
Transient Phase Route" or "Sans-Traffic-Light and
Uncurbed Route," or...
OK I'll be quiet, now.
