I was actually considering having the BTA host some rides this year. I agree that a "spring kickoff" is a good idea. I was also considering a "tour of bicycling needs" as a way to prep for the PBMVC's annual public hearing to solicit ideas for bicycling improvements. PBMVC members would be invited to this ride. There could also be a "tour of escape routes" series - to make everyone aware of the status of our urban escape routes. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Aaron Crandall Sent: Monday, February 18, 2008 10:52 AM To: bikies Subject: [Bikies] Advocacy Ride(s) Are there any thoughts on the effectiveness of hosting an advocacy ride or several rides sometime this spring? I was thinking that it might be a good idea to host a ride early on to give "fair weather" cyclists some safety advice, maintenance tips, & brief primer on the laws prior to a short jaunt around town or something.
